Retired educators make great ASPIRE mentors. They have experience working with youth and have available time to commit to the program. Recently ASPIRE was featured in Oregon Education Association (OEA) - Retired's "Prime Time" newsletter, which is sent to its members throughout the state. Check it out here.
We are simplifying the old Coordinator Toolkit and adding it to the ASPIRE Toolkit in the form of an online Coordinator Handbook. On July 1, we will remove access to the old Coordinator Toolkit website. We rely heavily on the feedback of our mentors and coordinators. If you have any suggestions please contact: Leli Fotu at Leli.e.Fotu@HECC.OREGON.GOV.
Oregon GEAR UP provides its Transition to College Toolkit to help high school seniors through the summer and into their first year of college. This toolkit includes specific strategies to keep students and parents connected.
