Join with ASPIRE volunteers, coordinators and staff throughout the state at the

ASPIRE Fall Conference

The ASPIRE Fall Conference is a great opportunity for volunteers and staff to network, share ideas and participate in exciting workshops designed to increase your knowledge about student access to postsecondary education.

Who:
  ASPIRE coordinators, advisors, mentors, other school staff member and ILP providers interested in postsecondary success for students.
What:
  A full day of presentations and workshops including sessions on topics such as: Best Practices for ASPIRE Programs at Large & Small sites, Career Information Systems, Volunteer Recruitment, OSAC Scholarships, Tips for Aspiring College Athletes, and Apprenticeship Programs. Participate in unique tours of the University of Oregon and learn from the expertise of UO financial aid staff.

 The University of Oregon, Erb Memorial Union, Ballroom http://map.uoregon.edu/index.html
 
When:
 October 11, 2008 from 9:00am-3:30pm
 
Parking:
 Free parking is available in Parking Lot 34E by the Knight Law School. You may park in any unmarked space, or spaces reserved only Monday through Friday. Do not park in spaces that are reserved 24-hours a day.
 
Please be advised that the ASPIRE Fall Conference will be held on the same day as Parents’ Weekend at UO and a Homecoming football game.

Cost:
 The registration fee for the ASPIRE Fall Conference is $15, which includes lunch and all conference materials. Send payment in by September 24 to:

Due to a generous grant from the Department of Human Services, mileage reimbursement will be available for participants traveling more than 70 miles to the conference. Mileage, lodging, and per diem reimbursement will be available for all Independent Living Program providers.
 
Hotel Reservations:
 A block of rooms have been reserved at the Eugene Holiday Inn Express under the name ASPIRE. Please make your reservations before September 24.

Note: The University of Oregon is hosting its Homecoming football game the day of the Fall Conference. If you plan on staying in Eugene either before or after the event, we strongly encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible, preferably before July.
